Kawasaki ZX10R Masters: the city is killing me

After a long week of perpetual bumper-to-bumper congested highways and the growling sounds of an unforgiving city, it is once again time to unwind with the invigorating sounds of the Kawasaki ZX10R Masters, as part of the Extreme Festival. At the illustrious Zwartkops raceway, the pulsating city with all its anger, discontent and stifling office blocks, are firmly repressed to nothingness. Take a deep breath and RELAX! Home!

The ZX10R Masters are back on the black, priming themselves for a spectacular day of motorcycle racing—a must see for everyone. This is the second motorcycle race meeting of the season and spectators can look forward to a well organised event out in the open and far away from the congested city.

The first exhilarating and spectacular race meeting was more than a month ago, so understandably these Masters are ready to clean out those congested arteries and get rid of the worldly stress and accumulated toxins. Will this race be a repeat of the first one?

Will we again see front runner, Stewart MacLeod #46, being chased by a pack of energetic Kawasaki Masters, or will his luck run out this weekend? Will Gavin Lightfoot #32 (and the rest) race more strategically, reeling Mac Attack in?
Add Brian Bontekoning #16 and Paul Jacobs #37 to the mixture and the contest becomes even more competitive, and let’s not forget the tenacious Pieter de Vos #17, who is sure to cause even more anxiety on the track—his presence will be felt. This is one fox terrier that will fight heart and soul—lap for lap—never letting go until the chequered flag delivers its final verdict. A true fighter and a great sportsman.

Race warriors Johan le Roux #44, Tony Klem #13, and burly Simon "Bez" Bezuidenhout add additional spice to the mixture—the competitive mixture that is! So start cheering on these riders at the top of your voices!

The internet suggests, eating an apple a day could keep the doctor away: assisting the body in lowering cholesterol, raising vitamin C, clamping down on heart diseases ..., blah, blah, blah. Who wants to eat an apple, if 30 Kawasaki Masters can set you right? Come to think of it, this "Club" has almost the same benefits as a health spa—only more effective, and out in the fresh air. So let’s just say that the only use you’ll find for an apple today will be to nibble on when you get peckish. The thrill of the Kawasaki ZX10R Master race will ensure peace, happiness and longevity.

The Kawasaki ZX10R Masters Club is open to any individual older than 35, who has a passion for speed and race bikes. If you would like more information on this prolific Kawasaki motorcycle race event, you can contact team captain and fellow motorcycle competitor, Johan Fourie #19, at their race garage, or you can drop RMB an email.

Don’t let the city take you alive, rather experience the vibrancy of the Kawasaki Men at War. —Godspeed!
